College Students Provide Leadership on Coping with Mental Health Problems

Active Minds is the nation's only peer-to-peer organization dedicated to the mental health of college students. Started in Pennsylvania with support from the MHAPA, the organization serves as the young adult voice in mental health advocacy on more than fifty college campuses nationwide.

Visit their site for more information and resources, including how to start a chapter on your campus. The peer-to-peer process is nationally recognized as a critical part of mental health wellness for persons facing mental health challenges. Active Minds has seven chapters in Pennsylvania:

  • Bryn Mawr College (Bryn Mawr, PA)
  • Dickinson College (Carlisle, PA)
  • Drexel University (Philadelphia)
  • Mercyhurst College (Erie, PA)
  • University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, founding chapter)
  • University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (Bradford, PA)
  • West Chester University (West Chester, PA)
